In addition to teaching people about the wonders of the creek, the history, the ecological significance, and why now is our last opportunity to protect this area, it’s very unusual to have 12-15,000 acres in its natural state. And we’re going to keep it in its natural state.
- Robert Collins, Montgomery County Precinct 3

Several schools - including elementary, middle, and senior high schools - have taken field trips to the Montgomery County Preserve to learn about butterflies, flora & fauna, and water safety and paddlesports, and more. If you want to have your class out to the Montgomery County Preserve or another spot along Spring Creek, contact Jennifer Lorenz, Executive Director of Legacy Land Trust, at jlorenz@llt.org or 713-524-2100. You may also contact Robert Collins at info@springcreekgreenway.org.

The nonprofit organization Houston Wilderness developed a Houston Wilderness Passport that you can use to explore the different ecosystem types around Houston, including that around Spring Creek. More information is available at their website.
